Oman provides ideal investment climate, say Singapore company officials

Singapore: A number of Singapore company officials have reaffirmed that the Sultanate of Oman enjoys an attractive investment environment and encourages investment in a number of fields coupled with the ease of doing business.

Dr. S. Nasim , Executive Chairman of Meinhardt Group of Singapore, said that Oman enjoys an attractive investment atmosphere , thanks to the ease of doing business, something that is of vital significance to investors.

He said that Meinhardt Group is one of the companies operating on Madinat Sultan Haitham Project, which is considered one of the most important projects that attract investors.

This project has received due attention from Singaporean investors, he added.

Dr. Nasim reaffirmed that there is continued communication with several government departments in oman to discuss the future projects in the various spheres.

He said that Oman has the potentials, mainly in tourism field, besides continued work on provision of tourism facilities (utilities), which contribute to the attraction of foreign investments.

He said that Oman has laws, regulations and actions that encourage investment.

He also pointed to the Meinhardt Group investment in Oman in the field of information technology and is currently working on establishment of a platform to ease documentation of commercial operations and contribution in provision of
