Oman’s crude oil production in February tops 49mln barrels

Muscat: Oman's crude oil production increased by 2.9 percent and reached 49.39 million barrels at the end of February compared to the same period in 2022, according to the preliminary statistical data of the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The data further shows that Oman’s oil exports, however, decreased by 6.9 percent to 49.71 million barrels at the end of February 2023.

Oil condensate production also increased by 3.5 percent, to a record 13.35 million barrels at the end of February 2023 compared to 12.91 million barrels for the same period of the previous year. The average daily oil production increased at the end of February 2023 to 1.63 million barrels at the end of February 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, which was at 1.32 million barrels.

The monthly bulletin further showed that the average price per barrel at the end of February 2023 reached $81.8, an increase of 6.6 percent compared to the same period in 2022 when the price per barrel reached $76.7.

The data also showed that China topped the list of countries importing Omani oil with 44,490,400 barrels, followed by India with 1,714,400 barrels, then Japan with 1,267,700 barrels.
