MoECC launches seabed cleaning drive at Sealine

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) has launched a drive to clean the seabed in the Sealine area.The initiative is aimed at preserving the marine environment and protecting marine biodiversity in Qatar, a statement said. Divers removed several abandoned anchors lying deep in the water.The drive is initiated in co-operation between the departments of Marine Protection Department and Natural Reserves at MoECC and Beaches and Islands department of the Ministry of Municipality.
