Qatar selected to chair Executive Office of Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity – The Peninsula

The State of Qatar was selected to chair the Executive Office of the Arab Ministerial Council for Electricity during the 14th session of the Arab Ministerial Council of Electricity and the 37th meeting of the Executive Office of the Arab Ministerial Council of Electricity held in Doha, on the sidelines of the 7th General Conference of the Arab Union of Electricity.

The selection was the culmination of the major efforts made by Qatar to raise the levels of coordination and joint Arab action in the electric power sector and the great keenness to support efforts to achieve complete Arab integration into the electricity sector, the latest of which was Qatar’s hosting of the 7th General Conference of the Arab Union of Electricity and its accompanying exhibition, which was held jointly with the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) and QatarEnergy.

Minister of State for Energy Affairs, H E Eng.
