‘QatarEnergy witnessed unprecedented growth’ – The Peninsula

Doha: Minister of State for Energy Affairs, President and CEO of QatarEnergy H E Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi confirmed that QatarEnergy witnessed unprecedented growth in the energy sector and particularly in the Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), especially in the last twenty years.

One of the big milestones of QatarEnergy is the State of Qatar’s taking its production from 77mtons per annum to 126 million tons, H E Al Kaabi said, adding: “We have also accomplished a number of important petrochemical projects and embarked on a significant journey to expand and transform our business and our global footprint.”

“We are very proud of our company and of the growth trajectory we have achieved throughout the years, inside and outside our country, covering all aspects of our business; and there is more work to be done. As we continue with our expansion trajectory, we need more work to be done and a lot of competencies to support that,” the Minister added.

This came in a ceremony held by QatarEnergy during which it honored the dedication, commitment, and long service of 238 employees, who have reached career milestones of 30, 35, 40, and 45 years of service.
