Qatar’s energy sector plays crucial role in meeting UK’s LNG demand – The Peninsula

Doha: Qatar’s energy sector plays an important role in meeting the demands of the United Kingdom for Liquified Natural Gas. The Qatari sector provides the UK with 20 percent of its demand. The number is likely to increase to between 70 percent and 80 percent between 2030 and 2024 as the UK government looks to diversify its natural gas resources.
