SATORP appoints Abdullah Al-Suwailem as President & CEO
Arabian Aramco Total Services Co. announced that the board of directors of its parent company, Saudi Aramco Total Refining & Petrochemical Co. (SATORP), appointed Abdullah Saleh Al-Suwailem President & CEO of SATORP, in place of Sulaiman Mansour Ababtain, according to a bourse filing.
It noted that the appointment will be effective as of Sept. 1, 2022 for a period of five years.
Al-Suwailem has more than 34 years’ experience in refining and petrochemical business and has held different managerial and executive positions in Saudi Aramco and its affiliates and joint ventures; this includes serving as general manager for the joint venture project with Petronas in Malaysia (PrefChem), president of Aramco Asia in China, general manager of the Jazan Refinery, and president & CEO of Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh), said the company.
It also noted that Al-Suwailem holds a Bachelor of Science degree in applied chemical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
