Saudi TRSDC becomes 1st owner of carbon-neutral smart buses in kingdom

The Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC), the Saudi-based developer of two of the world’s most ambitious renewable projects, the Red Sea and Amaala destinations, has purchased a fleet of electric buses that represent the first phase of its adoption of a smart and sustainable mobility network in the Red Sea destination.

The purchase agreement with international e-mobility pioneers Electromin and Energy International Corporation make Red Sea Global (RSG) the owner of Saudi Arabia’s first-ever fleet of carbon-neutral electric buses, setting a historic milestone for vehicle manufacturers and Saudi licensing authorities.

The company has taken upon itself the task of setting new standards for renewable development, and the implementation of its ambitious plans with carbon-neutral operations represents a major part of achieving these goals, hence its adoption of a smart, environmentally friendly and carbon-free transportation strategy.
