DEWA steps up efforts to promote sustainability with new virtual lectures

State-owned utility service provider, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has organized a sequence of virtual awareness lectures by partnering with Dubai Municipality to educate students about the importance of sustainable living and protecting precious natural resources.

The lectures, conducted in Arabic and English, also introduced the students to the 8 natural reserves in Dubai, and their major role to attain environmental balance. This celebrates the 25th National Environment Day, held this year under the theme ‘Climate Action Now.’

Further, DEWA has initiated an internal electronic competition and an awareness campaign on its official social media pages as well as internal and external channels to promote the public and DEWA’s employees to follow a responsible and sustainable lifestyle.
