Dubai’s RTA To Retrofit Buildings In Plan To Be Carbon Neutral By 2050 – MEP MiddleEast

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has presented its plan to achieve zero carbon emissions and play its part in making Dubai a sustainable development by 2050.

The strategy was presented at the 67th meeting of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE), chaired by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and has been developed in line with the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership.

The strategy comprises clear goals and implementation mechanisms, including increasing the number of electric and hybrid vehicles, improving the efficiencies of facilities, road lighting, waste reduction, as well as retrofitting the RTA’s buildings.
