Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Municipality has launched ‘Upskill’, a training platform that aims to support professionals and students in the emirate who want to upgrade their knowledge in sustainable energy.

The Upskill platform includes courses of several reputed regional and global training providers, such as Clean Energy Business Council (CEBC), Direktin from Italy, Energy Institute from the UK and National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) from India.

The RAK Municipality selected particular courses from these providers to fill some knowledge gaps identified in the market. The program will cover beginner to advanced levels across a range of topics including energy efficiency, sustainable buildings, industrial energy efficiency, renewable energy, green mobility and finance and are suitable for executives, finance professionals, technical personnel and students.

HE Munther Mohammed bin ShekarDirector GeneralRAK Municipality

“Upskill was designed to address the training needs of people at different career levels and to enable them to develop their capabilities and contribute to wider sustainability targets of Ras Al Khaimah. We would like to thank the RAK Human Resource Department, RAK Department of Economic Development and RAKEZ, for collaborating with us to promote this capacity-building initiative and encourage the participation of employees and all other registered companies in the emirate.”
