SEWA intensifies efforts to operate two 33kV stations – MEP MiddleEast

The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has intensified its efforts to complete the implementation of two distribution stations with a voltage of 33 kilovolts (kV), in the regions of Nizwa and Al Dhaid.

The projects also aims to modify the networks in the two areas, in line with the directives of the Supreme Council Member and the Ruler of Sharjah, HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, to deliver electricity, water, and gas services to the central region, and supervise them.

The chairman of SEWA, HE Saeed Al Suwaidi, said that the authority will also develop a plan in coordination with the Federal Electricity and Water Authority to continue providing services efficiently.

In 2021, SEWA will implement a number of development projects related to networks and distribution stations in various cities of the central region, according to state-run news agency, Sharjah24.

For instance, its two 33kV stations in the Al Batayeh area serves the residents of the region, and also supplies commercial and industrial projects with electricity, in addition to providing electricity to the new government buildings.
