Al Habtoor Group signs SirajPower for 8 large-scale solar installations in UAE

UAE-based Al Habtoor Group has signed a strategic partnership with local renewable energy company, SirajPower, for large-scale solar installations across eight projects in the UAE.

SirajPower recently commissioned a 2.8MWp solar project for Habtoor Motors and committed to providing its fully integrated solar solutions to seven additional projects under Al Habtoor Group, Al Habtoor Group said in a statement.

The combined capacity of these eight projects will exceed 5.7MWp and is anticipated to produce 9,500MWh of clean energy annually, enabling the group to expand more sustainably and leaving a smaller carbon impact.

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, said that the UAE has declared 2023 the ‘Year of Sustainability,’ which will give an unprecedented boost to various businesses and industries to achieve the desired sustainable development.

The first phase of the solar project for Habtoor Motors, comprising 2.8 MWp of capacity, has been successfully commissioned and is now operating with clean energy.

The second phase of the project, consisting of seven additional projects, will commence soon. The value and location of the projects were not disclosed.

SirajPower plans to install, commission, maintain, and operate renewable projects for other subsidiaries of Al Habtoor Group. The firm holds the largest distributed solar energy portfolio
