Coal will remain an important part of India’s energy needs

Coal will remain India's main source of energy in the years to come, a top government official said on Thursday.

"Coal is and would remain an important part of India's energy needs," India's Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra said at a media briefing on the country's participation in COP28 that started on Thursday in Dubai.
