DEWA CEO discusses bilateral cooperation with a high-level delegation from Emerson

DUBAI -- Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), received a high-level delegation from Emerson, a global leader in technology, software, and engineering, headed by Lal Karsanbhai, President and CEO, Emerson.

The visiting delegation included Michael Train, Chief Sustainability Officer, Emerson; Vidya Ramnath, President Emerson Middle East and Africa; and Widad Haddad, Vice President UAE and Oman, Emerson. The meeting, which was held at DEWA’s headquarters, was also attended by Waleed Bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence, and Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA.

The meeting discussed cooperation between DEWA and Emerson at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the Hassyan Power Complex, and the Jebel Ali Power Plant and Water Desalination Complex. The two sides also discussed their efforts in advancing sustainability and consolidating the foundations for environmental, social, and corporate governance. This supports the transition to a green economy through efforts to reduce the carbon footprint and limit greenhouse gas emissions.

Al Tayer emphasised DEWA’s keenness to cooperate with leading international companies to provide a state-of-the-art infrastructure according to the highest international standards. This supports the sustainable development goals
