DEWA & Emerson discuss bilateral cooperation in clean energy initiatives

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received a high-level delegation from Emerson, a global leader in technology, software, and engineering, to discuss cooperation.

The visiting delegation was welcomed by Mr. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, which included Mr. Michael Train, Chief Sustainability Officer, Emerson, Mr. Vidya Ramnath, President of Emerson Middle East and Africa, and Ms. Widad Haddad, Vice President UAE and Oman, Emerson.

The meeting, which was held at DEWA’s headquarters, was also attended by Mr. Waleed Bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence, and Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA.

The meeting discussed cooperation between DEWA and Emerson at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the Hassyan Power Complex, and the Jebel Ali Power Plant and Water Desalination Complex. The two sides also reviewed their efforts in advancing sustainability and consolidating the foundations for environmental, social, and corporate governance. This supports the transition to a green economy through efforts to reduce the carbon footprint and limit greenhouse gas emissions.

Mr. Al Tayer emphasized DEWA’s keenness to cooperate with leading international companies to provide a state-of-the-art infrastructure according to the highest international standards. This
