EGA brings out new coalition to promote aluminum recycling in UAE

UAE-based largest premium aluminum producer, Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA) has partnered with beverage producers, can makers, and waste management companies to launch an Aluminum Recycling Coalition in the Emirates.

The coalition intends to drive a step-change in aluminum recycling in the UAE. As its first project, the alliance aims to support a study by the International Aluminum Institute on aluminum recycling rates and behaviors in the UAE, to fully understand the scale of the opportunity and potential solutions.

The International Aluminum Institute is the global trade association for the aluminum industry and is conducting similar studies around the world.

The coalition was launched at EGA in Al Taweelah in presence of His Excellency Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, and Her Excellency Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment.
