Female founders in the region are breaking the global trend by dominating the climate tech landscape, with the majority of the start-ups featuring women in senior leadership positions.

Middle East investors are investing heavily in climate technology around the world, bucking the global investment slowdown, however, a notable gap in funding for local and regional climate tech entrepreneurs persists.

Climate tech innovators say complex regional legal and regulatory environments, funding limitations and finding experienced talent are among their biggest challenges for growth.
