The National Water and Energy Center- UAEU, and the Fujairah Research Center conducts research on Fujairah water resources

Al Ain: The National Water and Energy Center at the United Arab Emirates University, in cooperation with the Fujairah Research Center and the Fujairah Environment Authority, conducted water resources- related studies in the Emirate of Fujairah. This research is aligned with the UAE Water Security Strategy 2036, which aims to ensure the sustainability of water during natural conditions and extreme emergency conditions and comes in line with the UAE applicable laws and the specifications of the World Health Organization and contribute to the prosperity and progress of society and the sustainability of the growth of the national economy.

The research team conducted several field visits to more than 215 wells and field sites. It is expected that these studies and research will result in a complete assessment of the water resources in the Emirate of Fujairah.

Prof. Ahmed Murad - Associate Provost for Research said: "The United Arab Emirates University pays great attention to research activities for the sustainability of water resources in the country and in the region.
