UAE President honours 10 winners of $3 million Zayed Sustainability Prize

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan presented awards to the 10 winners of the 2023 Zayed Sustainability Prize today. The Prize’s Awards Ceremony coincided with the beginning of the 2023 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW). Among the notable winners was a non-profit organisation from Brazil that provides surgeries for indigenous communities in the Amazons, a small enterprise that is developing energy solutions for refugees in Jordan, and a non-profit organisation that ensures access to safe drinking water for vulnerable coastal communities in Bangladesh. A French enterprise that is developing insect protein for food and nutrition also clinched the prize in the Food category. Each winner will get a share of the $3million (Dh11 million) award, which was declared at the official opening ceremony of ADSW.
