89 projects vie for HRH Princess Sabeeka’s award for productive families

The Social Development Ministry has announced that the nomination period for the 17th local edition and eighth Arab edition of the “Her Royal Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for Productive Families” has closed.

As many as 89 projects will vie for the three categories of the prestigious award, whose winners will be awarded during a distribution ceremony to be held under the patronage of Her Royal Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President, later this month at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Enas Mohammed Al Majed, Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development at the Social Development Ministry indicated that the 60 local projects and 23 Arab ones are competing for the “Best Product” and “Best Productive Family” awards, while six nominated projects from Bahrain and Arab countries will compete for the “Best Sponsor of Productive Families” award.

Al Majed said that the jury, chaired by MP Ahmed Ahmed Al Salloom, representing the Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises Development Society, will begin studying the entries to choose the best projects that meet the criteria of each category.
