Bahrain Looks To Prevent Omicron Variant At Construction Camps – MEP MiddleEast

Bahrain’s Ministry of Labour and Social Development Ministry is stepping up efforts to ensure commitment to precautionary measures against the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) and the new Omicron strain of the virus at different work sites and labour camps across the Kingdom.

The Ministry’s Inspection and Professional Safety Directorate is conducting a four-week drive to encourage workers to take the booster shots that protect them against the pandemic and its variants.

Phase 1 of the campaign has covered 6,695 construction firms across the Kingdom of Bahrain, 27, 340 trading outlets, and 8, 277 industrial establishments. The campaign will be expanded to cover the other production sectors.
