Bahraini (HR) Consultant calls for development of employment policies

The Bahraini Human Resources (HR) Consultant Abeer Al Matooq stressed the significance of developing employment policies in the governmental, and even private sectors in Bahrain, by concentrating more on , expertise, competencies and skills, not only on academic degrees. She called for the launch of a national project in which entities such as the Supreme Council for the development of Education and Training, the Civil Service Bureau, and the Ministry of Labour and Social Development, Tamkeen,  and training institutes to develop selection and recruitment policies, job titles, incentives, and salary scales that can better ensure that quality of input of employees .



"We witness a serious trend from the highest governmental levels to develop the performance of the government sector, and make its services more effective and impactful, but whenever we go down to the pyramid's base in the ministries or government institutions, we find that employees are in their comfort zone, and they almost have conviction that their continuity and promotion at work are linked to their academic degrees only , not to their ability to achieve  the higher goals of their institution.“ Al Matooq said.
