Road expansion projects unveiled in Bahrain

A NUMBER of road maintenance and expansion projects in Dair and Samaheej were announced yesterday by a top minister. This came as Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam Khalaf met Muharraq Governorate constituency six (Dair and Samaheej) representatives at the ministry’s headquarters in Manama. MP Dr Hisham Al Asheeri and Muharraq Municipal Council services and public committee chairman Fadhel Al Oud attended. Mr Khalaf highlighted ongoing work in Block 231 in Dair, Block 236 in Samaheej and road number 3213 in Dair at a cost of BD335,000. The minister further discussed developing the entrances and exits of Raya Avenue, by adding an additional lane as a temporary solution at intersections to reduce congestion.
