The Religious Linguistic Landscape in the Kingdom of Bahrain Ranks it As a Global Model of Religious Tolerance and Ethnic Religious Diversity

A study by Dr. Yasser Ahmed Gomaa, Associate Professor of Linguistics and Fellow of the UK Advanced Higher Education Academy, who is interested in linguistic affairs in the Arabian Gulf, found that The religious Linguistic Landscape in the Kingdom of Bahrain ranked the Kingdom of Bahrain as a global model of religious tolerance and ethnic religious diversity.

The results of the study, which is entitled “Linguistic Landscape as a Tool for measuring Religious Freedom and Diversity: The Case of the Kingdom of Bahrain” were presented at the 16th International Congress on Language, Literature and Culture Research, held by the Turkish Mardin Artuklu University in cooperation with the Jordanian Ajloun National University and Respect for Science Association at Antalya Governorate, the Republic of Turkey from 28 to 31 October 2022.

The study concluded that the Religious Linguistic Landscape in the Kingdom of Bahrain reflects the spirit of religious tolerance and freedom of religions, beliefs and sects. The study also proved that Bahraini society is pluralistic, dominated by freedom and religious tolerance, and reflects the actual keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to respect religious rights and freedoms.
