Sisi orders more support for Egypt’s construction industry

Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has ordered the continuation of efforts to support the national industrial sector, especially in the field of construction, presidency spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement on Tuesday after the president held a meeting with cabinet members.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Presidential Advisor for National and Strategic Projects Sherif Ismail, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, Trade Minister Niveen Gamea, Petroleum Minister Tarek El-Molla, and Finance Minister Mohamed Maait.

El-Sisi said that the country's comprehensive development plan, most notably the construction projects in new cities nationwide, offers "great" opportunities for factories that produce construction materials.
