Palestinian lands see ‘complicated, difficult situation’ despite int’l resolutions —Kanaan

AMMAN — Secretary General of the Royal Committee for Jerusalem Affairs Abdullah Kanaan stressed that the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem — despite hundreds resolutions by the international legitimacy issued by the United Nations, the General Assembly, the Security Council and other affiliated organisations — are still witnessing a “difficult and complicated situation”.

Speaking to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Kanaan said that international resolutions calling for stopping daily Israeli practices and systematic violations against Palestinians, including the UNESCO’s Executive Board Resolution No. 215, which stressed that all Israeli procedures aiming at changing the status quo of the holy city and its legal status are null and void, described the Palestinian situation as complicated and difficult.

The secretary general said that those following up on the field developments in Palestine and its besieged population know that the UNESCO resolution came in light of a dangerous Israeli occupation that adopts the policy of killing, arrest, forcible migration, confiscating property and lands, daily raids for Al Aqsa Mosque and besieging Palestinians, mainly in Gaza.
