Bids opened for road, infrastructure of South Sabah Al-Ahmad project in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: After waiting for more than five years, the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) announced the opening of the bid envelopes submitted for the tender for the construction, completion and maintenance of main road works, main infrastructure service networks and rainwater tanks in the South Sabah Al-Ahmad project, reports Al-Qabas daily. PAHW revealed that the total number of companies that submitted their bids is 14, and the value of the lowest bids amounted to about KD 112.797 million.

According to an informed source, the tender will be awarded after submitting the technical study of the project by the company with the lowest bid, in accordance with the evaluation requirements and criteria stipulated in the tender documents and their technical specifications.

On the other hand, PAHW revealed the distribution of 94 percent of the housing units in the South Sabah Al-Ahmad City project. According to a recent statistic, the total number of distributed units was 19,111 out of 20,380 units. The total number of citizens who were allocated units in the project is 6,898 as of December 2020.
