Warning against delay in cargo, runway plan; Loss of revenues, no jobs – ARAB TIMES – KUWAIT NEWS – Arab Times Kuwait News

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 1: A government report warned against the delay in the implementation of the Kuwait City Cargo Project and the project for building the third runway at Kuwait International Airport. The report stressed that further delay in the completion of these projects would lead to waste of huge amounts of annual revenues from the State Treasury, and will deprive Kuwaitis about 800 job opportunities provided by the project. It stated that Kuwait’s vision for the year 2035 aimed to complete the Kuwait City Cargo project. If it is completed, the air freight system will improve its performance in terms of increasing cross-border trade from the airport port at the level of exports and imports.
