Badr Treatment Abroad signs MoU with Thailand’s Bumrungrad

Muscat – Badr Treatment Abroad, an in-bound and out-bound medical tourism services of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, joined hands with Bumrungrad International Hospital of Thailand for providing the ‘best of the health services’ to the patients of Oman.

An MoU with Bumrungrad, Asia’s first Joint Commission International (JCI, USA) hospital, was signed at an event at Sheraton Oman Hotel on Thursday.

Speaking during the event, Dr P A Mohammed, Managing Director, Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, said, “A large number of Omanis and expats go abroad for advanced medical care due to the long waiting for more specialised healthcare services and surgical procedures in Oman. A considerable number of them goes to Thailand.

The Badr Al Samaa MD informed that initiatives are being taken to ensure capacity building within the country. “For outgoing patients, this partnership will help us connect our patients to our most reliable healthcare partner in Thailand,” he added.

Under this partnership, Badr Treatment Abroad expects to provide and ensure services in three broad areas: Making OPD and surgical services of Bumrungrad available within the country, facilitating patients willing to undergo treatment in Bumrungrad facility in Thailand and knowledge exchange programmes and scientific sessions to be conducted by
