Health Ministry provides update on projects in Oman | Times of Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Health has released a report on the health projects planned for the year 2021. "Within the framework of the efforts made by the rational government to expand the umbrella of health services, and to keep pace with the population growth rates in the country, and what is required for the expansion of services; The Ministry of Health is currently implementing a number of health projects in the various governorates of the Sultanate, with a construction cost exceeding OMR 275 million," a statement accompanying the report said. The projects, which are still in the construction phase, are the new Sultan Qaboos Hospital project in the Wilayat of Salalah in the Governorate of Dhofar, the Suwaiq Hospital project in the North Al Batinah Governorate, the two projects of Khasab Hospital and raising the capacity of the Medha Health Center to a local hospital in the Wilayat of Madha in the Musandam Governorate, and expansion projects in The Royal Hospitals, Nizwa and Sohar, and a project to establish a kidney unit in Bahla Hospital in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, as well as a project for the accident and emergency units and the dialysis unit at Yanqul Hospital.
