Over 1.6 million vehicles registered in Oman as of March 2024

The Sultanate of Oman has seen a significant increase in vehicle registrations, with the total number surpassing 1.6 million by the end of March 2024.

The post Over 1.6 million vehicles registered in Oman as of March 2024 appeared first on The Arabian Stories News.MUSCAT : According to statistics released by the National Center for Statistics and Information, the total number of registered vehicles in Oman stood at approximately 1,686,382. Of these, private license holders accounted for the majority, comprising 79.4 percent, totaling 1,338,369 vehicles.

Commercial vehicles, including those with a commercial license, rental vehicles, and taxis, collectively made up 18.5 percent of the total registered vehicles. The number of vehicles with a commercial license reached 247,064, while rental vehicles and taxi vehicles numbered 34,980 and 27,986, respectively.In terms of vehicle weight classifications, the data revealed that vehicles weighing less than 3 tons constituted the majority, with a total of 1,527,985 vehicles, representing 90.6 percent of all registered vehicles in the Sultanate of Oman.
