‎First Mills to ramp up units’ production capacity

First Milling Co. (First Mills) signed a new contract with Buhler AG, one of the leading manufacturers of milling equipment in Switzerland, to purchase two new flour mills to ramp up the existing capacity of two mills in Jeddah plant, according to a statement to Tadawul.

The production capacity of the first milling unit (A), currently at 300 tons/day, will be upgraded to 550 tons/day (an increase of 83%) and mill (B) will be upgraded from the current milling capacity of 450 tons/day to 550 tons/day (an increase of 22.2%), after obtaining the approval of the General Food Security Authority (GFSA).

The project, with a cost of SAR 98 million, will be kicked off in Q2 2024 and will be financed from the company’s resources.

Mill A production capacity ramp up is expected to be completed in Q4 2024, with Mill B likely in Q4 2025.
