Governor of Saudi’s Jazan launches pipeline project for desalinated water – MEP MiddleEast

The Governor of Saudi Arabia's Jazan region, HRH Prince Muhammad bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, has inaugurated a number of development and service projects following an inspection tour to the Samtah Governorate in the kingdom.

The projects include the construction of conveyance pipelines from desalination tanks to the governorate's reservoirs, and the improvement of water networks in the Al-Qefl region and its surrounding villages.

HRH Prince Muhammad also inaugurated a waterfront development project, which is spread across an area of 60,000m2, and is located in the Al-Sahi region, west of the Samtah Governorate. The project includes green areas, footpaths, a sports area for adults, a children's play area, parking lots, private spaces for investments, and places designated for families.

The governor also launched a number of development, educational, health, agricultural and other projects worth approximately $161.34mn (SAR605.41mn).

The projects include buildings for the General Organisation for Technical and Vocational Training; the Scientific Institutes; as well as government, security, and service headquarters, 28 municipal projects, a municipality boulevard in the suburb of King Fahd, playgrounds for youth, a women's playground, and a private garden for people with disabilities.
