Jeddah Municipality regains 48000 sqm of government land from two neighborhoods

Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH — Jeddah Municipality announced that it has regained 48,000 square meter of government land from two neighborhoods. The secretariat said that the government lands were within the sub-municipalities of Bryman and Umm Al-Salam, after monitoring several matters represented in the construction of courtyards, armed columns, commercial sites and a random housing schemes. The field monitoring teams in the Bryman municipality have successfully been able to monitor 11 violating fences on a total area of 32,000 square meters in the popular neighborhood of Al-Ajwad. The efforts of the Umm Al-Salam municipality resulted in its monitoring of a random scheme, in addition to a gas station under construction and armed columns for shops. The total area monitored is about 16,000 square meters. The Jeddah municipality said that the monitoring operations resulted within the framework of its efforts to prevent and remove violations and preserve public properties. This is in addition to its aspiration to improve the urban landscape, which includes roads and within neighborhoods. All legal measures were taken regarding violations and all incidents were removed within the two municipalities, the municipality confirmed, while warning that it will continue to monitor all violations and complete the necessary procedures
