Maaden signs MoU with King Salman Natural Reserve to promote environmental protection

RIYADH — King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Royal Natural Reserve Development Authority and the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) have inked a memorandum of understanding to collaborate and implement projects inside the reserve while also promoting social and environmental responsibility. CEO of King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Royal Natural Reserve Development Authority Abdullah Ahmed Al-Amer and Maaden CEO Robert Wilt were present during the signing event. The agreement intends to encourage collaboration between the parties in terms of mining policies and their environmental impact. The two parties will host events of common interest and work together to do research on the impact of mining activities inside the reserve and collaborate to sponsor environmental and tourist initiatives that capitalize on their capabilities and expertise.
