MEP, MAEE sign MoU to safeguard water and financial sustainability

RIYADH — The Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP) and the National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (MAEE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at achieving water and financial sustainability in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The agreement outlines a joint framework for developing and harmonizing the strategic direction of national development priorities and economic policies while enabling decision-making through the preparation of methodologies and studies that support SDGs. The MoU was signed by the Deputy Minister of Shared Support Services Eng. Mansour Bin Abdullah Alrashed, representing the Ministry of Economy and Planning, and Eng. Fahad Bin Huwaizi Aldosari, CEO of the National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (MAEE). In a statement, Eng. Alrashed said, “Through the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, we look forward to increasing cooperation in research and innovation to rationalize water use in government facilities and economically impactful sectors. “This important initiative will unify efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and help preserve water resources in line with Saudi Vision 2030.” Eng.
