SFD discusses cooperation aspects with ADB

MANILA — The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) CEO Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad met in Manila with Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Masatsugu Asakawa to discuss development cooperation between the two sides. The meeting reviewed SFD-funded development projects in developing countries in Asia and beyond, which, in return, contribute to realizing sustainable development in countries benefiting from development support. Talks also covered the exchange of experiences and knowledge between the two sides, aiming to enhance cooperation in the field of development by exchanging expertise and knowledge and improving the latest tools and means to contribute to sustainable development. Al-Marshad stressed the importance of partnership among donors and the need for effective coordination and unifying efforts to maximize the developmental impact on beneficiaries of development projects, especially in light of global crises. The meeting included a tour by the SFD delegates in the ADB headquarters. The delegation members met with ADB officials to review the working mechanism and discuss possible cooperation and partnership between the two sides. — SPA
