Tunnel works completed at Riyadh King Salman Park



The King Salman Park Foundation Board of Directors announced the completion of the Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Tunnel construction

The construction works are complete on the Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Tunnel at King Salman Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The announcement was made by the King Salman Park Foundation (KSPF) on Wednesday.In a statement published on the Saudi Press Agency, KSPF said that the tunnel will enhance the movement of traffic and join various areas of the King Salman Park project by connecting old and newly constructed tunnels.According to the release, the tunnel will be open for traffic from Thursday, 29 February.The Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Tunnel is part of the King Salman Park and is the one of first projects to be completed at the development. The 2.4km tunnel stretches from north to south and runs beneath King Salman Park and has three lanes in each direction.It includes a new 1.5km stretch that connects the existing 840m long tunnel along Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Road to form an underpass.Covering an area of 16.9 square kilometres, King Salman Park is located south of King Abdullah Road, north of Makkah Al Mukkarramah Road and west of the Eastern Ring Road.Once completed, King Salman Park is expected to
