Credit: WAM Construction works on internal roads and street light projects have just been completed in four areas across Dubai, spanning a total of 35 km. This is according to a statement released by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) which says that 18 km of roadworks, as well as the installation of lighting poles along 17 km of existing streets has been completed in Margham, Lehbab, Al Lesaili, and Hatta. Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, RTA, said the upgrades are targeted at helping to address the demographic growth as well as the urban expansion of Dubai. “The project reflects RTA’s commitment to upgrading the infrastructure of roads, street-lights, and rainwater drainage systems in residential communities,” said Al Tayer in a statement.
