Dubai Harbour welcomes first passengers for the 2022/23 cruise season

- First cruise passengers for the season arrived on 17th November 2022, with 46 ship calls expected until June 2023 and more than 300,000 visitors during the cruise season

- Dubai Harbour will be the first in the region to be the homeport for two eco-friendly ships – the AIDAcosma, followed by the Costa Toscana

- Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal is the region’s first ever dedicated cruise facility, close to both of Dubai’s International airports – a gateway to Dubai and international destinations

- Dubai Harbour further enhances Dubai’s position as a leading global tourist destination, attracting visitors from all over the world

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Today Dubai Harbour, the city’s extraordinary seafront district, has welcomed its first cruise ship – the AIDAcosma, officially starting its 2022/23 cruise season. Setting sail from Germany on its maiden voyage, AIDAcosma is a first-of-its-kind liquid natural gas (LNG) powered ship with a capacity of over 5,500 passengers. To mark the arrival, DHCT Management along with public and private sector stakeholders will exchange plaques with the Ship Captain, a maritime tradition, to commemorate its maiden call.
