IHG to enter Sharjah with voco property

IHG Hotels and Resorts has signed a management agreement with Sharjah Asset Management (SAM), the investment arm of the Sharjah government, to bring a voco hotel to Sharjah in the UAE.

The voco hotel which is scheduled to open in 2027 is the first IHG hotel announced for Sharjah.

The 191-key property will be located near the Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club on the Al Dhaid-Masafi Road. As part of a masterplan encompassing retail spaces, offices, and SAM’s headquarters, the mixed-use development is expected to attract leisure tourists and corporate guests too.

The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, as well as a gym, pool and spa facilities.

The all-new voco will also feature around 5,000 sq ft of meeting spaces for conferences, events, and business gatherings.
