This innovative endeavour, designed with cutting-edge engineering solutions, is set to revolutionize the region’s logistics landscape.

Speaking to the Oman News Agency, Al Hatmi highlighted the project’s key features, including two tunnels spanning 2.5 kilometres each and 36 bridges, some towering at an impressive 34 meters. The railway network is strategically crafted to seamlessly navigate diverse terrains and climate conditions.

The project encompasses essential passenger stations in Sohar and Al Ain, complemented by freight stations in Sohar, Buraimi, and Al Ain. Notably, the train will cover the distance between Sohar and Abu Dhabi in a mere 100 minutes, while the Sohar-Al Ain stretch will be completed in just 47 minutes, spanning 238 kilometres.
