UAE government launches national housing platform ‘Darak’

The UAE government has launched the national housing platform “Darak” to promote family and community stability, and to improve the quality of life for UAE citizens. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior led the signing ceremony for the launch of “Darak”. He was accompanied by Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, as per state news agency . “Darak” is an initiative of the Ministry of Possibilities, in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, and housing departments across the country. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved its launch on May 24 during the meeting of the council of ministers. The launch of “Darak” follows the of housing loans for 2,000 Emiratis under the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme.
