Jum3a Al Khir boosts e-commerce sales in Bahrain by 30 to 60%

Digital commerce expert Mr Sadeq Abdulrasool said that the Kingdom of Bahrain reported sales of about one million dinars via various intermediary e-commerce platforms, or the platforms of the retailers themselves, noting at the same time that the amount of total online sales globally reached close to $ 10 billion.

Mr. Abdulrasool added that Although e-commerce sales in Bahrain increased over the previous two years, they fell short of expectations, owing to inflation, which impacted spending power, as well as many people’s desire to return to traditional shopping after the pandemic.

“Monitoring the e-commerce movement on this occasion, which peaked last Friday, it can be noted that practically all participating Bahraini stores saw a 30-60% increase in sales, particularly in electronics, video games for children, cosmetics and perfume, and home appliances.”

Mr Sadeq Abdulrasool, Chief Digital Officer of (Homiez.me), said that more than 200 Bahraini vendors participated in what the platform called ” Jum3a Al Khir “, affirming that HOMIEZ is participating in this event for the fifth year in a row.”
