RIL-BP launch new retail initiatives in India

Mumbai, 26 October (Argus) — Indian private-sector conglomerate Reliance Industries (RIL) and BP's joint venture Reliance BP Mobility has launched its first mobility retail outlet at Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra state and will be rebranding its fuel outlets.

The mobility station will offer multiple fuelling choices, including fuels with additives, electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery swapping, along with plans "to offer more low-carbon solutions over time," the company said.

The joint venture finalised an agreement last month with all-electric ride-hailing service BluSmart to set up EV charging infrastructure in India, where each charging outlet will be capable of accommodating a minimum of 30 vehicles.
