East Coast to hold exhibition to promote Omani products

Muscat – An exhibition that promotes Omani products and supports small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is returning after a gap of four years.

The Omani National Industries Exhibition (OniEX) will be held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center (OCEC) from May 31 to June 3, said the organiser.

East Coast for Organising Exhibitions will hold OniEX to attract international companies and to support SMEs to promote their products.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, Khadijah Mubark al Batashi, managing director of East Coast, said that the last edition of the exhibition was held in 2018. “We had to suspend it for four years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, we expect more than 70 Omani entrepreneurs from different industries to participate in the exhibition.”

Some of the industries include textile, furniture, home decor, foodstuffs, agriculture, health, automobile, building materials and construction.

“The exhibition will also provide a special corner for the industrial innovation sector as well as for innovations in climate and renewable energy,” said Khadijah.

According to her, the exhibition will provide a platform for bilateral meetings between businessmen and the visiting delegations and participants.

OniEX will also host the Egyptian Exhibition for Industrial Products, and the Investment Opportunities Forum in order to open up new
