MoCIIP has launched a campaign to reduce the risks associated with non-compliant electrical appliances in North Sharqiyah during Ramadan.Muscat – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) has launched a campaign to reduce the risks associated with non-compliant electrical appliances in North Sharqiyah during the holy month of Ramadan.

A statement issued by MoCIIP said, ‘The directorate in North Sharqiyah has stepped up efforts to ensure electrical appliances comply with GCC standard regulations for low voltage electrical appliances.’

As part of the initiative, informative posters are being prominently displayed in stores across the region. These posters serve as a visual reminder for consumers to prioritise purchasing electrical appliances that meet the required safety standards of GCC states.

‘The primary objective of this campaign is to inform consumers about the critical importance of choosing electrical appliances that adhere to safety regulations. By raising awareness among citizens, the ministry endeavours to enhance consumer protection and foster a culture of safety-consciousness,’ the statement added.
