OCCI praises govt’s care for private sector

Muscat: The Board of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) reaffirmed the government’s care and attention for supporting the private sector and empowering it to play its aspired roles for integration with the Sultanate’s economy system.

The private sector has witnessed tangible and efficient activity in economic development during the year 2023 and was proactive in the field of economic diversification.

The above reaffirmations came during the eighth meeting of the Board of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the current year, chaired by Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the presence of the members of the board.

The meeting approved conducting a competitive study of business in the Sultanate of Oman as reference for all departments of the State in order to improve the business environment.

The meeting also approved inviting tenders for conducting a study on the challenges of finance faced by the sectors of economic diversification.
