OCCI’s Ramadhan nights begin tomorrow

MUSCAT: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) will organise four forums during the holy month of Ramadhan to discuss current economic trends and the challenges facing the private sector by hosting officials, experts and decision-makers.Faisal bin Abdullah al Rawas, Chairman, OCCI Board of Directors, said: “The OCCI has prepared a programme for forums (Ramadhan nights) for this year to discuss the requirements of the current stage and to achieve the strategic goals set by the OCCI that are consistent with the Oman Vision 2040 related to improving the business environment, attracting investments, enhancing economic diversification and discussing current trends current in different economic sectors.” In comments to Oman News Agency, Al Rawas said that the first Ramadhan night will be on Monday and will discuss several topics related to the business environment and the sustainability of private sector businesses. He noted that the forum will discuss regulating the labour market through a dialogue between the three production parties and the role of the public-private partnership in boosting economic growth in the Sultanate of Oman.
